Web development

Web development that carries the business, not just the brand.

Websites, customer portals, SaaS products and internal platforms — from the public page to the logged-in product, with the same team behind both.

Most companies already have a website. The question is rarely whether it exists but what it does: whether it is found when someone searches for what you sell, whether it loads before the visitor changes their mind, and whether what happens after the form actually goes anywhere. An agency that only delivers design solves the first problem and leaves the other two.

Romoz builds the web as part of the business. That means the site is built to be found from the start, that performance is part of the requirements rather than a later adjustment, and that the data collected lands in the systems where it will be used — CRM, business software, email, payments.

We work on the logged-in side as often as the public one: customer portals, dashboards, booking flows, SaaS products with subscriptions and several permission levels. It is the same craft, and it is where a web platform stops being a brochure and becomes a tool.

What is included

Scope is set per project. These are the parts we work on.

Websites and campaign sites

Public pages built for search and conversion: a clear information structure, fast first render, semantic HTML and structured data that lets the page appear as a real answer in the result.

Web platforms and portals

Logged-in environments for customers, partners or staff — with permissions, roles, workflows and the administration required for someone to run the platform without calling us.

SaaS products

Multi-tenant products with subscriptions, billing, onboarding and analytics. Built so a new customer can get into the product without manual work on your side.

Headless CMS and editor tooling

Content your own organisation owns. Editors publish without a developer, and the structure is still the one that makes the content findable.

Performance and Core Web Vitals

Load time, layout stability and interaction response measured and fixed rather than guessed at. Slow pages lose visitors before the first screen and rank accordingly.

Technical SEO and tracking

Indexing, canonicals, hreflang for multilingual sites, sitemaps and structured data — plus measurement that shows what actually leads to business.

How it runs

  1. ReviewWhat the site has to do, who it speaks to, and what counts as a result.
  2. StructureContent map, URL structure and keyword work before a single wireframe.
  3. DesignAn interface built on real content, not on placeholder text.
  4. BuildComponentised, with performance and accessibility in the requirements from the start.
  5. LaunchMigration, redirects, measurement and indexing verified before traffic moves.
  6. IterationMeasurement that informs the next iteration instead of the next redesign.

  • run several languages or markets and want each version genuinely indexed
  • are replatforming and cannot afford to lose the rankings you already have

Web development

What does it cost to build a website or web platform?

Scope decides, not the page count. A public site with a clear structure and a handful of templates is a different project entirely from a platform with logins, roles, payments and integrations into existing systems. We go through scope on a free call and come back with a range together with the reasoning — so you can compare quotes on the same basis instead of on the final number.

How long does a web project take?

A contained site can launch within weeks. A platform with a logged-in side, roles and integrations runs in months rather than weeks. What drives the timeline is rarely the development — it is how quickly content, decisions and access to existing systems arrive. So that sequence goes into the plan from the start.

Do you build in WordPress?

We mostly build custom solutions in React and Node, with a headless CMS where editors need to publish themselves. The reasons are performance, security, and that a growing platform should not be limited by what a theme happens to support. If an existing WordPress site works and only needs improving, we would rather say so than rebuild it for its own sake.

Is SEO included when you build a new site?

The technical half always is: an indexable structure, clean URLs, canonicals, hreflang where there are several languages, sitemaps, structured data and performance. That is the part that is cheap to get right while the site is being built and expensive to fix afterwards. Content and ongoing keyword work is a separate effort we are happy to take on, but it sits outside the build.

What happens to our current rankings when we move site?

They are protected by preparation. We map the existing URLs and their traffic, set permanent redirects to the matching new pages, keep the content structure that already ranks, and verify indexing after launch. A migration without that map is the most common reason traffic falls after a new website.

Can we update the content ourselves afterwards?

Yes. What has to change often goes into an editing surface your own organisation owns, with permissions so the right person can change the right thing. What should not change often is built solidly rather than made editable, because every editable part is also a part that can break.
